Marriage License

Couples are responsible for obtaining their own marriage license. Both persons, residents of Florida and non-residents alike, must apply in person for a marriage license at the Clerk of Courts office. The ID requirements have changed recently so please contact the Clerk of Courts office to determine what documents will be needed. The marriage license is valid for 60 days from the date it is acquired. There is a mandatory three-day waiting period following the day of application unless the couple has attended a state approved marriage course within the past year.
